Across all of our markets, we have implemented unified neighborhood routes for the entire city. In the world of logistics this is known as "commingled" routing.
In some pickup and delivery businesses, drivers may pick up bags in the morning and take care of deliveries in the late afternoon. Under that kind of model, a delivery ready in the morning would still have to wait until later in the day to be brought to the customer. And it would mean a much earlier cutoff time for scheduling a pickup. By using this commingled approach, we're able to get deliveries out more efficiently and allow for same-day scheduling for pickups.
Do unified routes mean I can request you deliver orders earlier in the day?
While this delivery model does mean all routes are optimized for time and it results in more deliveries being completed earlier in the day, we can't accept requests for or make guarantees for certain drop off times. Most of our markets are quite large and it is impossible to accommodate most customers on a specific time without being highly inefficient, resulting in higher costs and pricing.
We recommend that you schedule all pickups and deliveries enough in advance that you would be comfortable getting an order as late as 7 PM on your selected delivery date. Keep in mind that all dry-cleaning, launder & press orders require 2-business days to process.
Can I have my laundry and my dry cleaning delivered separately?
Unless there is a delay that is caused by our team, laundry and dry cleaning that is part of the same pickup order must be part of the same delivery.
If there is a delay for one part of your order that is caused by us, our team will reach out as soon as we are notified so you are aware you may be receiving a partial order. If you have any questions after being notified of a delay, please contact our Customer Support team.
If these routes make things for efficient, why would my order be delayed?
In the majority of cases, delays are caused by issues at the facility level. We make every effort to ensure all orders are done on time but unforeseen circumstances, such as urgent issues among staff, power outages, mechanical breakdowns, may cause orders not to be ready when promised. In addition to notifying you as soon as we know, our customer support team can assist in helping to make the situation right within their ability to do so.
Please remember, despite increased automation in our world, human beings run our facilities and human issues occasionally arise.
