Wash & Fold laundry bag
Our wash and fold bags come in a variety of shapes and sizes - depending on your location. Items in the wash & fold bags get treated like regular laundry – washed, dried, and folded.
These bags hold your everyday laundry including clothing, towels, sheets, and other items that you would run through a personal washer and dryer. We clean your wash & fold laundry by washing in cold water and drying on medium heat.
Linens bag
This bag is for machine-washable linens - like sheets, towels and washcloths. We offer a linen-only bag at a lower price than our Wash & Fold service because of three reasons.
- Linens are less time consuming to wash & fold - which means they cost less.
- A great way to use the service is for household linen service - some do it monthly, some do it quarterly.
- The Linen Bag is perfect for small businesses and Airbnb rentals with laundry. If you’re an Airbnb host, massage therapist, or gym owner, this is your bag! You can learn more about commercial laundry clicking here.
Dry cleaning & launder press bag
This garment bag for our dry cleaning and launder press service doubles as a garment carrier. Garments included in the dry cleaning bag are either laundered or dry cleaned then pressed or steamed depending on the manufacturer’s recommendations. Dry cleaning services are priced per item and slightly vary depending on your location. To find out our dry cleaning fees click here and access your city.
Hang dry bag
Laundromats and laundry services get a bad reputation for not handling your delicates delicately. Not us! Nonetheless, if you want some extra reassurance we do offer a Hang Dry Bag.
It’s perfect for your wash & fold garments that need gentle wash and air dry. For some people, it’s a few pairs of their favorite yoga pants. For others, it’s bras, underwear, and workout tops. The garments in this bag are getting specialized and separated treatment from the rest of your order.
However, they may arrive a bit damp when returned on their hangers. In order to maximize drying time for hanging items, we don’t cover them with plastic wrap. Instead, we will hang a plastic sheet behind the items to keep them from coming into contact with the surface of your door.
How do I get a replacement bag?
As part of signing up for the service, you’ll get a Welcome Kit which includes your own, personalized laundry bags. You’ll use these personalized laundry bags to separate your laundry and dry cleaning. These bags are yours to keep! Your Welcome Kit - which includes your 2ULaundry bags - is free.
If you do not have enough bags for your upcoming pickup, please request the additional bag in the mobile app. We’ll deliver one to your location.
You will be charged for additional bags that you request on top of those provided to you with your welcome kit. If your bag is damaged or lost, we will replace them free of charge as long as you report this to our Customer Care team:
Do I need to return laundry bags that I don’t plan to use?
We understand that all of our customers may not use all of our services and that’s okay! If you don’t plan on using one of our bags, we encourage you to keep it handy in case you have need of that service type in the future. That way you won’t have to wait on a new bag to be dropped off. Once distributed, we do not recollect any 2U bags.
Can I use trash bags, hampers, other laundry bags instead of 2ULaundry bags?
All laundry should be designated in 2ULaundry bags.
If, for some reason, you do not have a 2ULaundry bag available for your pickup on the scheduled day, please use a large disposable bag (preferably a garbage bag with drawstrings) and clearly label the bag with the type of service needed - “laundry” for regular wash, dry, fold service, “linens” for linen bag service, or “dry cleaning” for dry clean, launder & press service. Our team will make sure the items are transferred to one of our bags for you.
Please keep in mind that your large plastic bag/garbage bag could be larger than one of our bags and it may require us to place your items in more than one bag, resulting in additional charges.
Please avoid sending your laundry in hampers or on hangers – both can be damaged in transport. When we return your clean laundry, we will include your personalized laundry bags. Once you have these laundry bags, you can stuff them full at your convenience for future orders.
Do I need to separate my whites and colors?
No, you do not need to sort your laundry. We separate your white laundry from your colored laundry before cleaning. All wash and fold laundry is sorted multiple ways for washing – meaning your whites are never washed with colors.
As part of our standard practices, we sort and check all garments for stains in production.
However, to best treat stains we recommend you send the stained garment in your Dry Cleaning/Launder Press bag. The Dry Cleaning process is better at removing stains. If a garment has stains that you want to receive special attention, we recommend sending that garment in your Dry Cleaning Bag.
