The black garment bag doubles as a launder and press and dry cleaning bag. Use this bag for all items you want to receive back hanging and pressed.
Once your bag arrives at our local dry cleaning partner the cleaning care associate will check the care label for each item. Most items are better suited for the launder and press process, instead of dry cleaning.
Items will only be dry cleaned if:
- It is explicitly stated on the cleaning care label
- The facility manager determines that the material is best suited for dry cleaning, or
- We receive a cleaning note requesting that the item is dry cleaned.
Items that are considered best for our launder and press process will be washed with water and detergent, starched according to preference, and later on pressed.
For "Dry clean only" items we use a solvent in place of water to bring stains to the surface and dissolve them.
As a standard, dress shirts are laundered and pressed unless the cleaning tag on the item says, “Dry clean only.” Most men's dress shirts can be pressed using a machine that pushes steam through the shirt at a fast rate. Because we're able to press these shirts quickly, they're priced at a lower rate than other items.
However, if the shirt is laundered, but cannot be placed on the pressing machine due to its material, button placement, sizing, or other reasons then it must be pressed by hand. Because of this, the cleaning of the shirt will be charged at the dry clean rate.
